website. We would like to take
a moment to thank you for
viewing our site.
Lazy D Ranch is located on the
southern border of Arizona and
New Mexico in a little town called
Virden, NM. Nestled in between
rolling mountains, not far from the
Gila river, the ranch sits on
approximately 10 acres. Our minis
are free to roam the ten acres to
their hearts content.
Here at Lazy D Ranch we strive for quality mini aussies going back to what the aussie was originally bred for, work! This is one very important aspect of the aussie's nature that breeders these days have gotten away from. Our focus is to produce working dogs or dogs capable of ranch work, as that is what these dogs were originally bred for. Our aussies range from 14 in to 18 in tall and 15lbs. to 40lbs. Whether they come from show or herding lines ALL of our dogs have strong herding instinct! And we are proud to say that ALL of our minis can still work cattle as they were BRED TO DO!!!! We strive for quality not quantity. We do not show our dogs but are proud to say that they are capable of it. If you are interested in what Lazy D Ranch has to offer please don't hesitate to ask. We have toys and minis and have pups that would do just as well on a ranch as they would a lap dog. THAT is what a mini aussie is suppose to be. Miniature Australian Shepherds are the perfect all around dog.
